My only conclusion is that NetApp uses a different serial pinout than Cisco rollover or Cisco straight. I am trying 9600 baud, 8N1 with no flow control and I've tried a Cisco rolled pinout and a Cisco straight pinout. Currently, when I try and reach these switches via the serial I get no response on the OpenGear. However, no one apparently from the storage side configured the management IP Address on the management ports. When it was installed we believe they cabled the console ports up to our OpenGear out-of-band serial concentrator and the CN1610 management ports to our out-of-band management switch (Cisco 3850). We have this setup in a lights out remote data center. We have a NetApp CN1610 which I understand to be a Brocade switch with NetApp covers. Excuse what is probably a really easy couple of questions if you do NetApp everyday.

I am a Network Engineer trying to help out my NetApp storage folks.
